	The Honda FK8 Type R intake is the result of extensive design iteration through dyno testing and flow analysis. It was developed to achieve two objectives ? 1) Maintain low inlet temperatures. 2) De-restrict the turbo inlet path. The first objective was met by enclosing the filter inside a carbon airbox and using the stock seal against the hood to block out the heat soak from the engine. Since the intake sits directly behind the radiator it is crucial that the filter is not exposed which would result in a loss of power through high IAT. The second objective was met by removing the flexible tubing and optimising the inlet path with a Venturi stack connected directly to the filter. Furthermore, we added a second inlet to the airbox with a scoop pulling in air from the inner wing area. This almost doubles the total cross sectional area through which the turbo can draw from as compared with the single entry on the stock system. Our carbon airbox enclosure has been designed to maximise the use of the available volume and block all sources of heat. The resulting performance gains and aesthetics are industry leading for the FK8 Type R.<br style="box-sizing: border-box;" />

	The F90 M5 Eventuri intake system was developed through extensive real world testing and airflow simulation analysis. Now in the updated V2 design, it features sealed filter housings to maintain a more steady IAT, even while stationary. The new shrouds which seal the housings, coupled with our scoop and shield combination ensures unrestricted airflow whilst maintaining low IATs through cold air saturation. Our large front air scoops transfer ambient air directly into the intake area thus ensuring the engine doesn&rsquo;t suffer from heat soak. In addition, our gold heat-reflective lined shields have integrated flow guides which direct the ambient air from the scoops into the filters. We have also managed to increase the inlet tube cross-sectional area by over 30% compared to the stock intake as it feeds through the openings in the strut braces. This allows the turbos to work more with less restriction and reduce the waste-gate duty cycles.</p>

Every component including the lid has been developed to allow the V8 twin turbos to pull in air with less drag resulting in industry leading performance gains. The stock airbox lid itself creates a restriction on the size of the flow collector which feeds the inlets from the filters. So we increased the height of the central section of the lid to allow for a larger flow collector and larger cone filters to be used. This removes the inherent restriction and sets our intake apart from the rest of the field who by utilising the stock lid must also use a restricted collector and filtration media. The turbo inlets are up to 43% larger in cross sectional area than stock and are designed with an advanced dimpled inner surface to reduce frictional losses between the flow and the wall boundary. By allowing a &ldquo;cushion&rdquo; of air at the wall surface, airflow is able to move through the inlets at higher flow rates with reduced pressure loss.
